De Kelders attracts wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world when female Southern Right Whales gather in Walker Bay to give birth to their calves. The whales are often no less than 20 meters from the shore and can be viewed from Whale Cove's private balcony from dawn to dusk.
The area also boasts other wild life including great white sharks, Cape fur seals, dolphins and sea birds. It has beautiful unspoiled white beaches and numerous species of vegetation which attract many sunbathers and nature lovers throughout the year.
